How to get out of your comfort zone?

Here are some strategies for reading, watching, or listening to stuff outside of your comfort zone:
- Determine your comfort zone
- Make a plan
- Start small
- Be open-minded
- Consider your experience
- Repeat
Determine your comfort zone
Consider the kinds of books, movies, TV shows, music, or podcasts you often enjoy. What are the most common topics or genres? What are some of your pet peeves? This will assist you in determining your comfort zone.
Make a plan
Determine what you want to accomplish by venturing outside of your comfort zone. Do you wish to discover a new culture? Do you want to learn a new skill? Do you want to test your beliefs? Having a defined aim can assist you in remaining motivated.
It will help if you consider the Eisenhower Matrix.
Start small
Don’t aim to do too much too quickly. Begin with something that is somewhat outside of your comfort zone but not too far. For example, instead of reading romantic novels, try a mystery or thriller.
Be open-minded
Keep an open mind and avoid making snap judgments. Remember that everyone’s likes and preferences are unique. This also includes Many Reasons Behind Bullies.
Consider your experience
Take some time to think on your experience after reading, seeing, or listening to something outside of your comfort zone. What did you find appealing or repulsive about it? What did you discover? How did you react to it?
Repeat
Continue to push yourself outside of your comfort zone on a regular basis. The more you do it, the easier it gets.
